INTERACTION WITH LIONS AND CARACAL

For your convenience we offer these 2 Interactions Adventures:

• Lions Interaction – 15 minutes with the Lions and their handlers
• Caracal Interaction – 15 minutes with the Caracal and their handlers
• Exclusive Interaction – 15 minutes on a private basis with the Big Cats and their handlers

As part of this Interaction you will enter the lion’s and or Caracal’ enclosure, under the supervision of professional guides. You will get to touch them, observe them closely, see how they play and interact between them and have a chat with the handlers.

• The timing for the Interactions activities are flexible and can be done during the morning times (09:30 – 11:30) or during the afternoon (13:30 – 15:30).
• The Interaction with Lions is offered only for adults – 15 years and above.

INTERACTION WITH CHEETAH

Meet the world’s fastest land animal- the cheetah!

These elegant and graceful mammals, part of the Big Cat family, are an endangered species in the African bush. Experience a unique 15-minute session among these magnificent beasts.

As part of this Cheetah Interaction, you will walk side by side and interact with the cheetahs, alongside the handlers. You will have the opportunity to learn about the animals, their habitat and behavior.

About the Cheetah: Cheetahs are a unique and specialized member of the cat family. Being the world’s fastest land animal, it can reach tremendous speeds between 80 – 112 km/h (50- 70 mph). This is because, unlike other cats, the cheetah has a leaner body and longer legs. Unlike lions, cheetahs cannot roar, but they purr instead.

INTERACTION WITH RHINOS

Feel your adrenaline rush as you join our Interaction with the Rhinos, known as one the “Big 5″ animals. You will get to come up and close to these huge creatures for a true once-in-a-lifetime experience!

As part of the Rhinos Interaction, you will get to spend an exciting 15 minutes inside the Rhino’s enclosure accompanied by the qualified and enthusiastic rhino’s handlers.

The size and strength of these tough animals becomes abundantly clear as you approach them. You will get to touch them, observe them closely and learn a lot on their behavior and characteristic from the expert handlers.

INTERACTION WITH LION CUBS

Get a once in a lifetime opportunity to interact with Lion Cubs in their own enclosures. Getting up close and personal with lion cubs is an all together different experience.

It is also an awesome opportunity for kids as from 15 years old to play with the cubs. Under the supervision of the professional handlers, you will get to touch the cubs, observe them closely, see how they play and interact between them for around 5-8 minutes.

DRIVE THRU

This is a dream come true for Big Cats lovers!

Reach the Big Cats station and get on-board the fenced Safari vehicle to drive through the Yemen Reserve, bringing you closer to these amazing Big cats! The first sighting of one of the lions is a big moment for everyone.

Lions do a lot of sleeping, but if you are lucky, you will see them striding majestically about their terrain. This is your chance to get some once in a lifetime photographs with the fantastic big cats.

For your convenience, we offer these 2 types of Drive Thru to the Big Cats enclosures:

• Drive Thru of 45 minutes on a shared basis
• Exclusive Drive Thru – 45 minutes on a private basis

WALKING WITH LIONS ADVENTURE IN MAURITIUS!

This is a one-on-one adventure with the Lions in Mauritius’ unique lion’s park proposed to those who wish to experience the wild side. Upon your arrival to the park, you will be guided in a special safari bus which will take you to the lion’s reserve, following by a briefing. Then after, you will be introduced to the lions and their handlers to start your 1 hour walking with lion’s excursion where you can view the lions from very close, see them playing and hopping on the rocks of the river banks and scaling the trees.

SAFARI QUAD BIKING ADVENTURE (1 HOUR / 2 HOURS)

Enjoy a 1 hour or 2 hours of quad-biking activity in the 4,500 hectares of Yemen natural reserve park. The trip starts with a test driving of the quad and where you drive in a group led by experienced guides. More than a quad bike outing, it is a trip through a real safari. The quad biking trip allows one to discover the safari park in Mauritius whilst observing the wild animals in their habitat such as deers, zebras, ostriches, African antelopes, wild boars and many more; this a very big added bonus to this activity. The course also takes you up the park heels, down some valley, across rivers and all while enjoying the great surrounding.

SEGWAY SAFARI TRIP

The Segway Safari Trip is not operational until further notice

Enjoy a 1 hour trip on a Segway, starting with a 15 minutes initial training on the Segway and where you will enjoy a unique travel experience on the modern Segway transporter, while discovering the beautiful nature reserve and the wildlife of the Yemen reserve safari park led by the experienced guides of the park at a speed of up to 20 km/ hour.

What is the Segway? It is the leading personal (1 person), environment friendly, green transportation vehicle in the world. It is a two-wheeled vehicle, with a self-balancing system, which offers you natural, intuitive, and very easy control.

ZIP LINES ADVENTURE

Enjoy this great opportunity to discover the remarkable beauty of the Casela World of Adventures Park, while having the exhilarating experience of gliding down zip lines. The 400-meter zipline circuit consists of five ziplines that zip high over waterfalls and a river.

This aerial adventure will be a pleasing experience for both children and adults. Participants will be pleasantly surprised by the boosted adrenaline that comes from the incredible zip line experience, especially if you are trying it out for the first time. You will get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mauritian fauna and flora, including aerial views of the entire park from high above.

CANYON SWING

Looking for more sporty activities, seeking adrenaline or new sensations in communion with nature? Canyon Swing is a new kind of bungee jumping. This is a variant of the bungee. The concept is simple; you are suspended from vertical cables and ‘take off’ from a platform 45 meters from the ground …, enough to make the adrenaline.

The point of attachment of these cables to your cord is positioned so that the web is identical fall movement of a swing. Once equipped and coached you can let yourself fall into a canyon. This attraction promises thrills.

NEPALESE BRIDGE

Experience the unique sensation of crossing the gorges suspended above the ground.Enjoy a walk in the air on wooden platforms suspended by solid ropes high above lush green tropical forests along with an adventurous zipline circuit consisting of 5 ziplines for an incredible burst of adrenaline.

Walking across a long bridge that is suspended in the air might seem a little scary at first but the adrenaline rushes it provides will make you enjoy the experience.

CAMEL RIDE ACTIVITIES

Enjoy a fun camel ride at Casela World of Adventures. Comfortably seated on the back of the dromedaries, you will discover the beautiful Casela park and enjoy magnificent surrounding views! A camel ride is an experience that will not be soon forgotten.

For those who just want to get a taste of what it feels like to mount this majestic animal, you can choose the shorter, tamer version– the Paddock Camel Ride!

Very Important Comments & Limitations

Important: The activities are done at the Yemen Reserve which is part of Mauritius Safari and Bird Park. Accordingly, we offer you to purchase the activities together with the entry tickets to the park.

Please note that the day schedule should be planned taking into consideration of the following points:

• Operational days and times of each trip – this information is mentioned separately for each of the activities. You should be aware that some activities do operate only on certain days while other operates daily.
• Duration of each trip
• Starting and Ending time of each activities you are planning
• We do request and recommend keeping a gap of at least 45 minutes between each two trips, making sure you have sufficient time to reach from one departure point to the other, as well as for having some time margin in case one activity ended a little later.
• For any of the Safari activity, you should be at the park at least 30 minutes in advance prior to the starting time of the trip
• Limitation of each activity. For example, minimum age to participate in the trip.
• Important: The above mentioned activities are done at the Yemen Reserve which is part of the Casela World of Adventure Park and in order to take part in this trip, you will have to enter the Park.
